4. How Long We Keep Your Data (Retention)
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and thereafter as required by applicable law. As a general guide:
- Enquiry and correspondence data — for the duration of our exchange and for a reasonable period thereafter, typically no longer than 2 years after our last contact, unless a business relationship is established.

- Recruitment data — for the duration of the recruitment process; retained afterwards only with your consent.
- Analytics and cookie data — for the periods described in our Cookie Policy.
When personal data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies, including strictly necessary cookies and — subject to your consent — analytics and marketing cookies (such as those provided by Google). When you first visit our Website, a consent banner allows you to accept, refuse, or customize non-essential cookies, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time.
For full details of the cookies we use, their purposes, and retention periods, please see our Cookie Policy.
6. Who Receives Your Data (Recipients and Processors)
We do not sell your personal data. We share personal data only with:
- Service providers (processors) acting on our behalf and under our instructions, such as website hosting and maintenance providers (our Website runs on WordPress), IT and email service providers, and analytics providers (e.g., Google).
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors, where necessary.
- Public authorities, where disclosure is required by law or by a valid legal request.
- Business partners, where you have asked us to connect you or where necessary for a project you are involved in.
All processors are bound by data processing agreements consistent with Article 28 GDPR.
If you interact with our presence on LinkedIn, LinkedIn processes your data as described in its own privacy policy; for certain page-level statistics we and LinkedIn may act as joint controllers under LinkedIn’s Page Insights terms.
7. International Data Transfers
Venture CO Group operates in Hungary and the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to, or accessed from, countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this happens, we ensure an adequate level of protection through one of the following safeguards:
- United Kingdom — the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for the UK, so personal data may flow to the UK without additional safeguards.
- United States — transfers are made either to recipients certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), supplemented where appropriate by additional technical and organizational measures.
- Turkey and Uzbekistan — as no EU adequacy decision applies, transfers are made on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) together with transfer risk assessments and supplementary safeguards, or, in exceptional cases, on the basis of a derogation under Article 49 GDPR.
You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at contact@ventureco.group.
8. Applicability of the UK GDPR and US State Privacy Laws
- UK visitors: Where our processing of your personal data falls within the scope of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, this Privacy Policy applies equally, and references to the GDPR should be read as including the UK GDPR. UK residents may lodge complaints with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
- US visitors: If you reside in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, or Virginia), you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as defined by those laws. We do not sell personal information for money. You can exercise opt-out choices through our cookie banner and by contacting us as described below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Your Rights
Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of it (Art. 15).
- Rectification — have inaccurate personal data corrected and incomplete data completed (Art. 16).
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — have your personal data deleted in certain circumstances (Art. 17).
- Restriction of processing — have processing limited in certain circumstances (Art. 18).
- Data portability — receive the personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible (Art. 20).
- Objection — object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to processing for direct marketing purposes (Art. 21).
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting prior processing (Art. 7(3)).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@ventureco.group or via https://ventureco.group/enquiry/. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will inform you.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe our processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in particular the Hungarian data protection authority:
Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) Address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., Hungary Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., Hungary Website: https://www.naih.hu Email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu

10. Children’s Data
Our Website and services are directed at business audiences and are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. How We Protect Your Data
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls and multi-factor authentication for administrative systems, regular software updates and vulnerability management, and staff awareness training. Further detail is available in our Security Policy.
While we work continuously to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, technology, or legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page, together with the “Last updated” date shown above.
